MOTION DESIGN & ILLUSTRATIONS

As a kid during the 80’s and 90's, I was constantly inspired by cartoons such as Transformers, GI Joe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Comic books were also a huge inspiration for me with the golden era of comic books. Some of my favorite comics were Spiderman, X-Men, X-Force, Savage Dragon & Spawn. I was a huge fan of Jim Lee, Whilce Portacio, Todd McFarlane and Jason Scott Campbell. My dad was also a major influencer where he would draw cars and show me how to draw them in perspective. I looked at drawing more like a sport where I practiced day in and out and challenged other classmates. I was constantly working to getting better. Drawing when I was watching TV, doing homework and when the teacher was lecturing. This pursuit as a creative individual lead me to where I am today.
I started my first creative job working for a startup, MechanicNet Group, working in print. My role was to design postcards for mom and pop mechanic shops. This lead to web design with an emphasis in eblasts and newsletters. MechanicNet at the time was in the same campus as Workday’s headquarters. I walked across the street and applied. Workday Education needed help with developing their educational media. I was one of the original members of a small but robust media team.
After being with the group for 5 years, it was time to move on to another role within Workday but for the marketing department. In that role, I helped develop human illustrations to go along with Workday's diversity branding. Some of my other responsibilities were to brainstorm designs for conferences such as RISING, Altitude and Elevate. Elevate is a global road show and in 2017 thru 2019 my designs were chosen to be distributed globally. After a year with the Branding team, I moved to Workday Studios to focus on motion graphics developing explainer videos, keynote openers, booth loops, social media promotions and brand illustrations.
Outside of work you can find me working on the backyard planting or propagating plants, working on my old school car or playing with my 2 kids and taking them to their activities.
